Chain Conveyor: A type of material handling system that uses a chain as the driving element. This type of conveyor is typically used for moving heavy, hot, or irregularly shaped parts that cannot be transported on other types of belt conveyors.
Based on the requirements of a CNG cylinder manufacturing plant in the hot forging press unit, this type of conveyor (Cooling Chain Conveyor) was designed and manufactured with a linear speed of 1 to 3 meters per minute and a production rate of 400 parts per shift. A 5-degree incline adequately provides the height difference required for rolling. For the part cooling system, four axial fans with an output flow rate of 5350 cubic meters per hour each were used. This conveyor consists of three sections: the vertical conveyor at the beginning is responsible for quickly transferring the part from the press output to the inlet of the second conveyor. The second section is a curved conveyor that rotates the part 90 degrees during transfer and delivers it to the third conveyor. Parts with a length of 75 cm and various diameters are cooled uniformly along an 8-meter path by pushers, each responsible for carrying one part.
